Overview
Haas beam benders are precision-aligned mirror assemblies used to redirect laser beams by 90° while maintaining excellent beam quality and alignment stability. Designed with durable construction and precision-machined components, they are built to perform reliably in demanding production environments. Whether used as a permanent fixture in a factory system or as a flexible element in a lab-based prototype on an optical table, Haas beam benders provide the stability, adjustability, and compatibility needed for modern laser applications. Each unit features a kinematic mirror mount and modular housing, with options for various wavelengths, power levels, and cooling configurations. 45° options available upon request.

Applications
Industrial Applications
Haas beam benders are used across a wide range of industries where laser systems are integrated into precision manufacturing and materials processing environments. These components—also referred to as beam turners or mirror mounts—are essential in any setup where the laser beam path needs to be redirected to fit space constraints or process flow requirements.

Product selection guidance
Specing a Beam Bender
Haas beam benders are defined by three key parameters:
1. Aperture Size
Available in 19 mm, 25 mm, 38 mm, 50 mm, and 75 mm series.
Choose the aperture based on your beam diameter, with 1.5x margin recommended to avoid clipping.
2. Cooling Type
Depending on your system, a passively cooled option may not be enough. Use water cooling for above 100watt systems.
Another aspect to keep in mind is if you need any additional parts for water cooling such as a pump and reservoir.
3. Optional Features
Low Force: This uses a different design that put lets force on the optics. Generally recommened for fused silica optics.
Electrical Interlock: Reports if optic is installed via a single contact switch.

The BBK-75 series kinematic laser beam benders provide a 45º or 90º beam displacement with a 75mm clear aperture.
Independent Orthogonal mirror correction with 80 pitch adjustment screws provides precise, repeatable alignment. Optic removal and replacement can be accomplished without affecting alignment. Several thicknesses can be accommodated. All captive hardware.

Sealed optics & beam path
Our sealed optical beam path allows you to create a positive internal pressure to prevent dust and contaminants from entering the system. Great for dusty or dirty environments.
Fine adjustments in all directions
Using 80 pitch adjusters allows for infinite adjustment to create a perfectly centered beam. Paired with our alignment targets makes it easy to align multiple beam benders in series.
